Feature/Mode	Description
Auto Shut Off	Auto shut off feature automatically turns off the digital scale if there is no activity, the majority are within 60 seconds. This helps to increase the scales battery life.
Backlit Display	Backlit display features allows easy reading of measurements where lighting is limited.
Batteries Included	Batteries are included and are either provided seperately or already installed in the unit, there maybe a plastic strip to pull out from the battery cover to initially power up the scale on first use.
Calibrate Facility	Calibration gives you the ability to validate specific measurement or to make fine adjustments or divide into marked intervals for optimal measurement. See the instruction manual for details of how to calibrate your scale.
Capacity	The maximum volume the scale can hold. This is usually shown in the format '500g x 0.1g' which means the maxmimum capacity the scale can hold is 500g before overloading and it weights in increments of 0.1.
Detchable Lid/Tray	The scale has the ability to detach the scale from the included lid or tray. A similar feature is a lift off lid seen on the lower range scales.
Overload Protection	Gives warning that the load on the scale is more than the scales maximum capacity. If this happens you should remove the excessive load immediately to prevent permanent damage.
Tare Facility	Allows the user to place an empty container on the scale and hit the tare button to zero the scale out. For example, a shop might want to save the setting for the jar (container) it uses for jam, so that jam sold by weight can be quickly measured.
Warranty	The duration of the manufacturers warranty. We recommend you keep a copy of your original order receipt from us.
Weighing Modes	The weighing modes the scale can support. For example: g (gram), oz (ounce), ozt (troy ounce), dwt (dead weight tonnage), gn (grain), ct (carat).
